Stephanie & Nathan Helfenbein
Married June 28, 2008
- Redstone, CO

THE DETAILS
Wedding Location: Our back yard in Redstone, Colorado
Number
of Guests: 215
Biggest Planning Challenge: We both grew up in the Roaring Fork Valley and know a lot of people, so it was REALLY hard to get a guest list that we could both afford and fit into our reception site.
The Wedding Attire: I wore a strapless ivory satin dress; Nate wore a dark grey pinstripe suite. The girls all wore black cocktail dresses; the guys wore dark grey pinstripe pants and blue shirts with custom belt buckles we had made for them.
The Flowers: We love wild flowers
and REALLY love sunflowers! The Floral
Boutique put together a beautiful combination of flowers for us. The bridal
flowers were purple hydrangea, purple veronica, mini sunflowers and ivory mini Calla
Lilies. The bridesmaids’ bouquet also
had purple hydrangea, purple veronica, and then mini sunflowers to bring yellow
into the mix. Nathan wore the mini
sunflower with a sprig of hydrangea and his boys all wore mini sunflowers. They were the perfect spring flowers!
The Cake: Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory.
Special
Touches
1. Nathan's
mom is a musician and she wrote a song for us and performed it during the
ceremony with my brother-in-law. We had
a bagpiper perform at the ceremony.
2. Our
bagpiper led us and all of our guests in a wedding parade from our house, up Redstone Boulevard
to the Redstone Inn. Nathan and I rode
in a white wedding horse drawn carriage, we had our bridesmaids ride on the
back of Harley Davidson's, our parents rode in convertibles and other friends
just paraded up the Boulevard!
My Advice: Stick to
your budget…no matter what it takes.
Honeymoon Location: Cabo San Lucas Mexico
